Hello there!!
Technology is everywhere, and it’s not going, anywhere. All future jobs will require stem knowledge, which is science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Learning to code is one among them. Teaching kids to code not only improves their chances of getting employed in the future, but also at a fundamental level, improves their problem solving, and thinking skills.
We at codecircuitry have been running coding programs for a few years now. We have learnt a thing, or two. We share them in this course, along with lots of easy to follow coding activities. Coding is all about solving a problem, rather than learning a specific programming language such as ‘C’, or Scratch. At a fundamental level, what the basic programming constructs do, or how you think don’t change. Coding helps kids to create, and not just consume the technology. To know about the world of computers, coding is a must have skill set. Moreover, it’s fun.
Computer programs tell the computer, exactly what to do. They are written by human beings. You need to be crystal clear with the instructions. The computer, never disobeys. So each and every step has to be foreseen by the programmer, before feeding it to the computer. But you certainly will make mistakes. Don’t be afraid to fail. Learn from the mistakes, and develop confidence through learning, and building. Most importantly, have fun!
This course contains numerous coding activities; that will help you learn the fundamentals of programming. We’ve created a content that is very beginner friendly, and has many ideas for you to be excited about. We encourage you to use all of them, remix them, and create new ones. This course is built around the graphical programming language, Scratch 3.0.
All programming languages have a syntax to be followed. It might be a bit overwhelming for the beginner. A beginner might spend too much time learning these syntax rather than the actual programming paradigms. Scratch is a visual programming language, and it eliminates the need to write any syntax. A program could be constructed by simply dragging, and dropping, the blocks in Scratch. For this reason it’s a great tool for beginners.
We at codecircuitry have been using Scratch, in our programs. It can be used for drawing art, playing music, and creating games. As you progress through the initial sessions, we will introduce you to the tool, as well as some basic programming concepts; to get started with coding. By the end of this course you should have a solid understanding on creating Scratch scripts, as well as on fundamentals of programming. Challenge yourself with new coding tasks and take your learning to the next level, by moving onto text based programming.
So students, what are you waiting for? Join this course and have fun coding!!
