When you begin painting you’ll use lost paint edges towards the back of the rose and hard edges at the front of the rose to add dimension and to guide the viewer’s eye around the painting. You’ll also use the element of contrast to help add more depth to the rose. Louise will guide you step by step through the entire painting.
