Hi and welcome to this skillshare class on how to create your own fun and unique handmade shirts using Procreate and a Cricut plotter machine. Although I will be using these devices, there will be a lot of different devices and brands that can do the same things but just in a slightly different way. So maybe if you have a different device you can still learn something from my workflow.
In this class I will teach you:
1. How to prepare your canvas for designing
2. Working with fonts
3. Working with handlettering and line art (did you know I have a brushlettering class on skillshare?)
4. How to get a good balance in your design
5. Prepping your artwork for exporting it to your plotter design program
(in my case Design Space for Cricut)
Then we are going over to Design Space
6. Import your artwork
7. Messure and scale to fit to shirt
8. Prepare your cutting material (iron-on or also called flex)
9. Cut material wit the machine and weeding ( all steps visible but a little sped up where I think I could;) )
From there we will transfer the vinyl on to the fabric
10. Preparing the, in this case, T-shirt
11. Pressing with an automatic heat press (but you can also use other kinds of presses of course and even a normal house hold Iron)
Shorty said I will teach you everything you need to know so you can create your own Unique Shirts. I will take you step by step into my workflow and thinking proces. You can follow me along but I will encourage you to create and translate to your own liking. And ofzourse I will be showing on how to do this on a shirt but you can do this on a lot of other materials, just depending on your choosen material you want to work with. always follow the description of your Iron-On or Flex material. Those are the same name for the same kind of products
